Advice and context on how to lead a workshop for faciliators.
Read about the Rockström nine planetary boundaries (Wikipedia quote):
climate change (CO2 concentration in the atmosphere < 350 ppm and/or a maximum change of +1 W/m2 in radiative forcing)
ocean acidification (mean surface seawater saturation state with respect to aragonite ≥ 80% of pre-industrial levels)
stratospheric ozone depletion (less than 5% reduction in total atmospheric O3 from a pre-industrial level of 290 Dobson Units)
biogeochemical flows in the nitrogen (N) cycle (limit industrial and agricultural fixation of N2 to 35 Tg N/yr) and phosphorus (P) cycle (annual P inflow to oceans not to exceed 10 times the natural background weathering of P)
global freshwater use (< 4000 km3/yr of consumptive use of runoff resources)
land system change (< 15% of the ice-free land surface under cropland)
the erosion of biosphere integrity (an annual rate of loss of biological diversity of < 10 extinctions per million species).
chemical pollution (introduction of novel entities in the environment)
atmospheric aerosol loading.
This is the workshop that inspired this one!
An awesome experience to better understand climate in particular, but also a little about ocean acidification.
"Want to help tackle climate change but don’t have the time to become a climate scientist?
In just 3 hours, the collaborative Climate Fresk workshop will teach you the fundamental science behind climate change and empower you to take action."

The "friend frescoes".
This is a wiki curated by friends of The Climate Fresk, listing all known frescoes.
Most of these have started in French, but the list is expanding and they're getting translated one by one!
As quoted from their website:
The Shift Project is a French think tank advocating the shift to a post-carbon economy. As a non-profit organisation committed to serving the general interest through scientific objectivity, we are dedicated to informing and influencing the debate on energy transition in Europe.
INFORM
We set up working groups on the most sensitive and decisive issues of the transition to a post-carbon economy;
We produce robust and quantified statements on key aspects of the transition;
We bring forward innovative proposals, and we pay particular attention to appropriately-scaled solutions.
INFLUENCE
We launch lobbying campaigns targeting political and economic decision-makers to promote the recommendations made by our working groups;
We host events designed to encourage discussion among the different stakeholders concerned with climate and energy issues;
We build partnerships with both professional organisations and academic players.
The IEA was created in 1974 to help co-ordinate a collective response to major disruptions in the supply of oil. While oil security remains a key aspect of our work, the IEA has evolved and expanded significantly since its foundation.
Taking an all-fuels, all-technology approach, the IEA recommends policies that enhance the reliability, affordability and sustainability of energy. It examines the full spectrum issues including renewables, oil, gas and coal supply and demand, energy efficiency, clean energy technologies, electricity systems and markets, access to energy, demand-side management, and much more.
Since 2015, the IEA has opened its doors to major emerging countries to expand its global impact, and deepen cooperation in energy security, data and statistics, energy policy analysis, energy efficiency, and the growing use of clean energy technologies.
Our World in Data (OWID) is a scientific online publication that focuses on large global problems such as poverty, disease, hunger, climate change, war, existential risks, and inequality.
It is a project of the Global Change Data Lab, a registered charity in England and Wales, and was founded by Max Roser, a social historian and development economist. The research team is based at the University of Oxford.
You'll find plenty of amazing and useful data visualisations on this website, many of them were used on the workshop.

The International Resource Panel's scientific assessments include Decoupling, Cities, Water, Metals, Land and Soils, Food, Trade, Resource Efficiency, Green Technology and Global Materials Flows.
This is about the equivalent of IPCC for material resources.

WWF's mission is to stop the degradation of the planet's natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature, by conserving the world's biological diversity, ensuring that the use of renewable natural resources is sustainable, and promoting the reduction of pollution and wasteful consumption.
Institute of Zoology (Zoological Society of London)
Founded in 1826, ZSL (Zoological Society of London) is an international conservation charity working to create a world here wildlife thrives. ZSL’s work is realized through ground-breaking science, field conservation around the world and engaging millions of people through two zoos, ZSL London Zoo and ZSL Whipsnade Zoo. ZSL manages the Living Planet Index® in a collaborative partnership with WWF.
